COURSE OBJECTIVE

The problem of sexual assault is a severe one and it's solution will demand a bold program approach.  We believe this program is both creative and innovative.  Development of both mental awareness and gross motor skills in each student is the sole objective.  The basic program consists of a four hour block of instruction which is divided into a ninety minute segment of didactic education followed closely by several hours of psychomotor skill development closely supervised by trained instructors.

A student manual is provided which is a "fill-in-the-blank" stepwise learning process that adult students enjoy.  In addition, the students can take home these ideas and review them at their leisure.

Using the MARS pressure point management system, the motor skills that are implemented:

bullet

require little strength

bullet

are easy to recall under stress

bullet

are effective with little training time

The instructional methodology used in our seminars includes:

bullet

crisis rehearsal

bullet

stimulus response training

bullet

role playing

Purpose of the Program

The purpose of this specially designed stimulus response training program is not to teach "hand-to-hand" defense but simply to get away if grabbed.  A woman's ability to recognize potential threats to her safety is perhaps her greatest asset.  Recognition of the threat will enable her to take steps to avoid or minimize risk as well as increase the ability to defend.

The victim of a sexual assault suffers both physically and emotionally.  The rapist invades the victim's body and steals the victim's dignity and self-esteem.  Next to death, sexual assault is probably the most traumatic experience the victim will ever know.  The post-rape lost employee productivity, can be financially traumatic to the individual as well as to the organization.

Program Director

The program director is the founder and CEO of Martial Arts Research Systems, Dale Lee Craig.  Mr. Craig has an extensive background of over 35 years in the martial arts.  He began teaching survival tactics to the military and other personnel in the mid-1970's.  Since that time, he has become a licensed police tactics instructor and has made professional contributions to the field of police self-defense world-wide.  He currently serves as a consultant to numerous organizations and agencies.

After the completion of the four hour block of instruction, the new student will have the knowledge of:

  1. Rape prevention for the home, street, key securities, elevators and automobiles.

  2. The five psychological profiles that a rapist may fall into, and the main identifiable characteristics of each.

  3. The eight main steps of post attack procedures.

  4. Explain the function of the rape kit and what it consists of

  5. The criminal proceedings of the alleged rapist, as well as the questioning proceedings that the victim will encounter.

  6. The three levels of resistance concepts.

  7. The mental and physical preparation using visualization, crisis rehearsal and stimulus response training.

  8. The gross motor skills designed to make the release, stun and run principles effective at either a static, fluid or dynamic level.

How Can I Learn More?

Everyone should be more aware of the crime that exists in our environment.  Although you like to think, "Nothing like this will ever happen to me," current statistics show you differently.

In our four hour block, the student is introduced to the problems of sexual assault in America.  The seminar also teaches the student prevention in the home, on the street and in close quarters.  The student learns the five psychological profiles of the rapist, post attack procedures, and the effects of rape trauma syndrome.  A resistance concept is taught through three kinds of strategies:  verbal, passive defensive and physical.

Our program will enable students to learn both physical and mental preparation for attach methods of approach used by rapists.  The most modern street tactics and pressure points are taught for assault avoidance against rapists.

The course is taught with the utmost professionalism and will greatly add to our personal, home and family protection system.
